Flight Reviewer Network Surpasses 500 Reviewers Across Canada

A Growing Community

When we launched the Flight Reviewer Network in 2023, our goal was simple: make it easier for drone pilots across Canada to find qualified flight reviewers in their area. Two years later, we're proud to announce that the network has surpassed 500 active, certified flight reviewers — covering every province and territory.

This milestone matters because flight reviews are a critical part of maintaining your Advanced operations certificate. Every 24 months, pilots need to demonstrate their skills to a certified reviewer. Before our network, finding a reviewer often meant searching through outdated lists, making dozens of phone calls, or driving hours to the nearest available professional.

Coast to Coast Coverage

Our network now provides coverage in communities that previously had limited access to flight reviewers. Here's how the network breaks down by region:

• British Columbia & Alberta — 142 reviewers, with strong coverage in remote and northern communities.
• Saskatchewan & Manitoba — 58 reviewers, including several who specialize in agricultural drone operations.
• Ontario & Quebec — 198 reviewers, the largest concentration reflecting the pilot population in these provinces.
• Atlantic Canada — 67 reviewers across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland.
• Northern Territories — 35 reviewers covering Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut — a significant achievement given the geography.

How It Works

Finding and booking a flight review through RPAS WILCO takes just a few steps. Search by your location or postal code, view reviewer profiles with ratings and specializations, and book directly through the platform. After your review, the results are automatically logged in your pilot profile, and your certificate status updates in real time.

For Reviewers

If you're a certified flight reviewer and haven't joined the network yet, we'd love to have you. The platform handles scheduling, payments, and record-keeping so you can focus on what you do best — helping pilots improve. Reviewers in the network report an average of 12 reviews per month, with many building thriving side businesses through the platform.

What's Next

We're working on several enhancements for the Flight Reviewer Network, including video-based remote reviews for pilots in extremely remote areas, specialized review tracks for different operation types, and a mentorship program that pairs new commercial pilots with experienced operators.
